Dragonfly, dragonfly, trapped in my car,
Thumping the window, you won't get far.
Perhaps it's working, you refuse to stay,
I'll open the window, you'll fly away.
Leave behind luck and a touch of good cheer,
In my thoughts often, though you're not here.
True story.
Letting go can be hard when it's time to part,
Even when we know it's the best for our heart.
Old habits linger, tough to discard,
But when we release them, let's fill the void with regard.
Embrace the positive, let the dragonfly soar,
Remember the lessons, be better than before.
Blessed be.
